This lens ait bad…. I’ve had a play with one. Good sharpness all round and better AF that previous model. CA can kick in some situations but easy to remove with PS or Lightroom. Tamron make some good shit and are underrated imho….

Rob, the Sigma 10-20 is a bargin compared to the Nikkor 10-24…. sposed to be pretty sharp. Quite like Sigma’s 8-16 too… Are you getting the Nikkor AF-S 70-200 2.8 VR II…? Damn nice… what body you using. The D7000 is pretty tasty…

I am pretty sure there was an american guy who walked the entire length of the Congo — and then write about it for Nat Geo.
Not to get confused with that american guy who tried to “pirogue”
down the Congo….. but didn’t make it….. and still wrote abook about it.“Facing the CONGO”- by Jeffrey Tayler.

Cairo gets slagged all the time, but personally I like it….
With a only a week you have to move fast….. I’d skip going all
the way down to Aswan and just go as far as Luxor (IMHO, a much
more relaxed and friendly place than Aswan)….. hire a push bike and check
out all the temples…. fuck the feluca’s though…….
