Have been wondering what other people think…
I have added a few that probably already count as failed states.
If I missed any off, which ones?

Why isn’t Australia on the list?

It’s about the “next” failed state, not the last one.

:D Surely not.
Here’s my prediction:
1) Fiji. Would be kind of a shame. It’s a fun soap opera.
2) Mexico. That country is melting down especially in its border region with the U.S. (gang & drug wars gone berzerk). Oh, and then this bizarre Mexican swine virus.
3) USA. Not necessarily a failed state, just a re-organized one – lol. (The word ‘secession’ is being thrown around quite a bit.) - April 27, 2009 at 12:10 am #10298projectaliceMember

I am temporarily testing allowing guests to post (if the spammers hammer the board, I’ll have to go back to the old way) which means members will have to remember to be logged in!

I’d have to say the US is already a failed state in that said failure is the failure to:
1) live up to and abide by it’s own Constitution
2) and it has failed to live up to it’s own promise and potential.Secession would be a good wake up call—again. Maybe this time the good guys will WIN.

I left off Somalia because it is pretty much universally agreed that it is already failed and the question is about the next to fail.
Some might argue that those on the list have already failed, but it isn’t unanimous.
