What, unsaturated oranges are out of season? Paris fashion affecting PB design layout decisions? Earthen greens are all the rage these days?

Possibly my fault. I suggested to Rob a short while back that a colour (color) layout change may be in order.
I thought the burgundy and green strips didn’t look too great.
Hey, it’s your message board. By all means, tell us if you think I was wrong.

I like it.
I’d describe it more of a greengage…

I was the “puker”
It’s still a work in progress. It’s that light brown colour that’s really giving troubles and I can only see all this on my very small screened laptop – gues I’ll have to change it from work.

Holy crap – I just got to work and logged in! That colour combo is truly ghastly! Looks completely different to my laptop display.

Hmm – seems blue and black is a difficult combo to work with too.

Black & blue is tough on the eyes, how about paisley & tartan? ;-)
BTW-Rob I sent you an e-mail about a week or 2 ago, did you get it? - July 25, 2005 at 8:30 am #6297AnonymousMember
Jimbo – yeah got the email mate, just haven’t got around to replying – something in the works. Will do asap.

This from a dude with experiencing swimming in
a pool of fashionista sharks..most of them female and
capital G-gorgeousI think your basic black (you’ll find most male
fashionistas (designers) wear basic black from head to toe
which makes them easily distinguishable (but their reasons
for wearing are less simplistic) is too overdoneI think it would be ‘cool’ to present an affront to the
traditional or accepted norm of travel to off beat places (dp included) by making better use of primary colors
so that this type of travel is actually more de rigeur
and less imitative and simple cloned versions
of what traditional seperated from mainstream media tends to
useTo me , impression wise, black is rather dull and unxciting
..if one were to mildly venture far away from the blanketing of this
anti-color(black), I would favour a dark green to complement
it (the teal presently used with black, with all due
respect is kind of an imbalance)…theres actually a whole
psychology of colors that marketers and advertisers
are schooled in, of course tobacco marketers know about)So my first suggestion would be to adjust the tint of the
blue green teal closer to dark greenBut if I were given more free reign to make suggestions
as how to increase appeal more broadly (marketing wise)
and not just aesthetics pleasing to the eye…Red would where it would be at
But hey I dont know the HTML color code
for “Rosso Corsa “or try a red closer to maroon…ala like a dark red wine

Interesting.
I thought the current colour scheme was very striking. But I hear what you’re sayin’

I took the blue straight out of Lee’s photo in the top left. Trying to keep a “look” through the whole site. It could probably afforf to be a bit lighter but I will change it when i get around to it.
