Fellow bastards,
I have pictures and stories from Chechnya and Ingushetia and Azerbaijan.
No offence to the bloke who put his story up about Azerbaijan a while back, but my one is far better….Anyhow…
Pictures and badly written stories here first.

Im not going into Abkhazia now.Im too busy working with IDPs and refugees in Azerbaijan from Karabakh and Armenia so maybe next time.
I had the oportunity of going there from the north but I chose to stay in Chechnya and Ingushetia because both republics are more or a pressing issue, from my own perspective. - August 31, 2006 at 2:10 pm #8143DebrisMember

Yes.You need clearance from the FSB to visit Chechnya and certain parts of North Ossetia.Prigorodny in particular.

Thanks, but I meant clearance for Abkhazia as river Psou marks the border between Russia and the breakaway republic

Sorry,
Yes,you need clearance from the “Abkhazia foriegn ministry”
The Border at Sochi opened to foreigners about 4 or 5 months ago.
But considering the current situation there, this is likely to change without prior warning.Of course,if you are Russian or Georgian, there is no problem whatasoever.
