Following Mach’s unrelenting torrent of tripe this evening (GMT) I’ve finally decided to ban him from further posting on PBs.
Against majority opinion, Rob and I have continuously declined to block him; however, he’s chosen to ignore my advice to keep his posts short and/or on-topic, so I finally caved in.

It’s your own fault. I’ve been nothing short of patient with you, but you’ve let yourself down.

their stories differ and dont concur and so that means

RYP has always called apartheid soldiers his “friends”, he
then had the gaul to refer to me in the same sense as “friends”
..I suppose it has only been a matter of time that he has in

To be perfectly honest, I could’ve been tolerant of the guy forevermore, but what was beginning to get to me was the fact that a large number of our loyal readers were totally fucked off with him.
Three nonsense posts in a row and no sign of stopping was enough to force the decision.
I hope he finds whatever he’s looking for.
Lee has given him a “Lite Ban” from the forum only. He could probably use a proxy or even another computer to keep posting.
Then I will start banning his IPs from the entire site, but it may be a while before we get them all. He posts from a few different ones I think. If that doesn’t work I will just ban Canada and possibly all of North America. Then onto the entire Northern Hemisphere etc etc. :roll:
It truth, it would be more work for Mach to keep finding new ways to post from another IP Address than it would be for me to just keep adding the addresses to the ban list.
As someone pointed out on the BFC, even if he found a new IP Address and a new username, he’d find it near impossible to mask his style. And if he did mask his style.
I was working alot this past week. (still am)
And I got a kajillion PMs from posters who ratted Mach out to me while I was being busy because he would either log in and just send people PMs pretending to be new (or not, depending on who he sent them to )..so yah, he can’t avoid his style or his old topics.
Also if you have Unix you can put the DB backup in a text file and search for a pattern of writing. (maybe google desktop can do that as well)

Yeah, top marks to Kurt… He tolerated Mach for many months. I cracked after only a matter of weeks.
Hi Rob, I tried to get between Ona and the mine operators but time ran out for him. My thought also was looking at an interest in some infastructure like the run down wharves. I was officially refused entry after numerous discussions with a ultra left wing journo in PNG. I went to Broome.
Coincidently a mate of mine got a contract with unisys in PNG, in Moresby and Lae. His contract states he must remain in a secure compound when not at work and is driven in ‘secure’ convoy to and from work and airports etc. Sounds like Iraq lol.
