      This is an article from today’s issue of the Jakarta Post (Indonesia) about the resent US and Philippine Army actions against the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) in the Southern Philippines. It sounds like some pretty heavy fighting is going on. A buddy of mine that works on the US airbase there and he can’t even leave base without a team of local bodyguards with him.

      The article mentions that there are 4 rebel groups, I’m assuming that JI is among them in spite of the fact that they originated in Indonesia. Funny how all this takes places in the southern regions of SE Asian nations (i.e. Thailand & the Phills).
