Doha

Help, I am traveling from Bangkok to Doha and have to stay in Doha for a day before flying to Nairobi does anyone know where I can eat and if there is something to do to pass the time away for the 1 day that I’ll be there or is it just better to stay in the hotel and get bored. Thank you.

To be honest, I think you might struggle to find an answer here on this one – I mean Doha *is* pretty obscure! ;)

A mate of mine spent a couple of days in Doha last year for a job interview. He had nothing good to say about the place. Reckons it was a modern city of glass and steel.

I’m sure that there must be older parts to the town, though.

Thank you Rob and Lee, I will have to go exploring the city my curiosity always gets the better of me, besides I will get bored in the hotel and I hate that.
