I’ll be going through Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Fmr. Yugoslavia, and Macedonia sometime after Christmas. Anyone been there recently? Places to see, bars to live in, people to avoid, the whole nine yards if possible. Also, i wont have much cash, or maney in general, on me when i get there, and ive gotta make it last a little while, any tips would be greatly apreaciated. thanks guys, and i still gotta say this is the best goddam site in the internet, BFC damned

So any advice I give you will probably be worthless.
You should check out the town of Melnik in Bulgaria. I’d cross from Macedonia to Kyustendil and try to get a bus from there.
Melnik is surrounded by pyramid shaped sandstone mountains and has some of the best damn food and wine in the Balkans.

booze, food and good scenery are a good enough reason to go anywhere. i may just check it out, thanks.
