The BBC World Service is broadcasting this weekend a fine two-part documentary by Owen Bennett Jones on The Strange World of the People’s Mujahedin in the Your World documentary series. I haven’t found it on their listen again or podcast programmes, but I’m sure it will be up soon. It’s well worth listening to (especially if you’ve been following the news about the investigation of top former US government officials who have been taking large payments to speak on MEK’s behalf in favour of its delisting as a terrorist organization). It’s a bit like Curveball and Chalabi all over again, though Maryam and Massoud Rajavi are even less plausible than Chalabi.
